Small entrepreneurs very large: students sniff economic air in Kufstein

Over 100 pupils from the Kufstein district experienced an exciting day on November 21, which was all about entrepreneurship. As part of the project "Kiwi - Children Discover Economy", the Kufstein Chamber of Commerce turned into a lively marketplace. Here the children learned what it means to operate a trading company.

The young participants had already become active in advance. They founded their own companies in a total of 24 teams and took care of everything from naming to the design of logos. With the support of the so-called "Kiwi Bank", schools received loans to make the first orders for wholesale and calculate sales prices.

The day of the market

The big day started with a lot of anticipation and a bit of excitement. The children had prepared their products and were now in the starting blocks. The program included selling the goods you created, a real insight into the world of trade. But before it started, they had to apply for a trade license and conclude rental contracts for their market stalls - as realistic as possible.

At 10:00 a.m., the small entrepreneurs opened their stands and welcomed the first customers. As they advertised their products, the secret jury, consisting of experienced adults, was able to observe how these small sales professionals cut off. The jury evaluated the trade strategies and the skill of the children in dealing with customers - a valuable experience for the young entrepreneurs.

a strong project with great demand

The participants included third and fourth graders of the elementary schools in Rettenschöss, Scheffau, Kufstein-Zell and Radfeld. They received support from students from the HLW Kufstein, who acted as economic coaches. The project is very popular and demand on the part of the schools is growing steadily. Nadja Elmer from EEC Elmer Event Consulting OG, which is responsible for the organization, reported that over twenty schools had to be canceled, the interest is so great.

The Tyrol Commerce Chamber has been bringing the topic of entrepreneurship closer to the region for around ten years and is therefore a pioneer in the region. The event is a practical way to learn basic economic knowledge and to promote entrepreneurial thinking.

The event not only offers an insight into the business world, but also strengthens the creativity and self -confidence of the participating children. The long -term goal is to convey economic similarities and responsibility that is associated with entrepreneurship early on.

For interested readers, there is further information and exciting contributions to find economic issues from the district on various platforms. While the children continue to explore the business world with enthusiasm, the question arises as to how such projects will develop in the future and what new opportunities arise for school education in the economy.

More details and reports on the initiative can be found in the appearance of the Chamber of Commerce and in the current news of the Kufstein district on www.meinbezirk.at .
