Thousands of pilgrims take part in the traditional Vierbergellauf: an unforgettable experience!

On May 2, 2025, the traditional Vierbergelauf took place on Dreinagel Friday. Hundreds of hikers made a pilgrimage over the four Celtic mountains: Magdalensberg, Ulrichsberg, Veitsberg and Lorenziberg. Despite the fatigue, many pilgrims were satisfied when they arrived at Lorenziberg. When the weather is nice, there are still a few hikers out and about.

In the old tradition, sweets were distributed to children, while rest areas and refreshment stations invited people to linger. The Vierbergelauf is considered one of the most important events for hiking enthusiasts in Carinthia, celebrating both the connection to nature and to cultural and religious traditions. This event attracts numerous visitors every year and is part of the lively hiking scene in Austria.
