Future of tourism: Experts in Weiz discuss creativity and sustainability

The fourth tourism forum took place at the Kunsthaus Weiz, where over 50 experts came together to discuss the future of tourism. The event, organized by crosseye Marketing GmbH, highlighted the topics of technology, creativity and sustainability. A platform was offered for exciting lectures and workshops that were intended to help participants meet the current challenges of the sector and find innovative solutions.

A particular focus was on the possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI) in tourism. Manuela Machner, an expert in this field, presented how AI can be used in service companies to optimize workflows and increase efficiency. At the same time, the participants were taught about modern content creation with smartphones in workshops led by Laura Pöckelhofer and Magdalena Kitting. They taught techniques to target travelers using creative methods.

Courage and creativity as the key to success

Another central topic was the future development of the industry, which is characterized by challenges such as the shortage of skilled workers and increasing digitalization. Particular attention was paid to “Twin Transformation”, a concept that focuses on simultaneous digitalization and sustainable development. Katrin Erben from Austria Advertising pointed out how important this combination is for long-term success.

Robert Seeger's lecture entitled “More courage and wild fun” was a highlight of the event. With a touch of humor, he explained why tourism companies will continue to need the courage to be creative in the future. Seeger's message received much applause and was thought-provoking.

The academic lectures were concluded by Harald Denifle, who showed ways to personalized communication and modern sales in the tourism industry. His approaches are intended to offer guests an individual experience and better take their needs into account.

Networking and recognition

Another highlight was the honoring of the organizers by Commercial Councilor Vinzenz Harrer and Andreas Schlemmer from the Weiz Chamber of Commerce. The managing director of crosseye Marketing GmbH, Evelyn Götz, in particular received a warm surprise in the form of a cake on the occasion of her birthday, which caused great joy.

The day ended with relaxed networking over coffee and regional drinks, where participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas and make new connections. The 25th anniversary of crosseye Marketing GmbH was also duly celebrated and created a pleasant atmosphere of celebration.

The fourth Weiz Tourism Forum impressively demonstrated that the industry can proactively deal with the challenges of the future. The use of new technologies and a relentless focus on sustainability are seen as crucial factors to succeed in the changing landscape of tourism. Participants returned home full of new ideas and inspiration, ready to actively participate in the future development of the industry.
