The anticipation of Advent reached an emotional climax on Thursday evening in Kraubath. Pop singer Hannah opened the Christmas season with an enchanting concert at the local church. Visitors could look forward to a mixture of emotional ballads, personal stories and Christmas treats provided by the volunteer fire department.
Hannah, who comes from Tyrol, created a breathtaking atmosphere with her self-composed songs and touching Bible quotes. Her performances were very moving not only musically but also emotionally as she shared stories from her own life. She spoke openly about the challenges she has overcome and encouraged those in attendance to never give up in difficult times. The company of her husband and producer Willy Willmann gave the evening a special touch.
A special encounter
The reactions to the concert were consistently positive. Mayor Erich Ofner praised the singer's acting skills and the touching moments the audience experienced. He noted that the combination of music and the festive atmosphere created by the fire department's Advent stand provided a wonderful community experience.
“The combination of music and Advent created a wonderful, festive atmosphere, especially because the volunteer fire department also contributed to the community with its Advent stand,”Ofner explained.
The event marks the start of a whole series of Advent activities in Kraubath. The next big attraction will take place on November 30, 2024, when the Christmas market in the village hall opens its doors. The lights on the church square will be ceremoniously switched on at 6 p.m., followed by the “Guls’n Teifl” Krampus run at 7 p.m., in which over 20 groups will take part.
The successful opening of the Advent season in Kraubath shows once again how important such cultural events are for the local community.
