Commandant working day 2024: A sign of fire brigade comradeship in Leibnitz

Over 130 firefighters from the Leibnitz area fire brigade association recently met in the Kultursaal Straß to take part in commander working day 2024. This important event was organized by the volunteer fire brigade playing field, which took care of the well -being of those present with a committed team.

The focus was on the fire brigade commander LFR Josef Krenn and his deputy Br Fritz Partl, who praised the impressive commitment of the participating fire departments. Krenn particularly emphasized the excellent camaraderie among the firefighters and paid tribute to those who regularly take part in competitions and performance tests. He also emphasized the importance of the fire brigade youth, whose basic training in basic training 1, basic training 2 and the basic training is "radio".

One of the central events this year was the disaster aid service exercise (KHD exercise 2024), which took place in West Styria. Here, 400 emergency services with around 100 vehicles practiced to be better prepared for possible disasters. Another important training project is still around: the international exercise "Module Exercise 2024", which takes place from November 18 to 21, 2024 in the Leibnitz and Graz area. During this exercise, various scenarios such as floods, earthquakes and forest fires are played through. Participating fire brigades include the fire brigades Wildon, Lebring, St. Georgen an der Stiefing, Neudorf an der Mur, Wagna, Seggauberg and Tillmitsch, and BR Fritz Partl emphasized that this is perfectly prepared for this challenge.

Towards the end of the event, the outgoing district captain Manfred Walch was dignified and recognized for his services. Numerous guests of honor were also present, including the mayor of Straß, Hans Lappi, and the state office for fire prevention in Styria, BR d. F. Herbert Hasenbichler, and the state fire brigade command representative LBDS Christian Leitgeb. Gregor Waltl led through the evening from ORF.
