On Sunday evening, January 5th, 2025, there was a tragic traffic accident in Graz when an 8-year-old boy was hit by a car while crossing a protective path in Hackhergasse/Bienengasse. According to reports, the child, who was accompanied by his mother, was injured to an unspecified degree and had to be immediately taken to the Graz State Hospital - Children's Surgery by the Austrian Red Cross. The driver of the accident vehicle is currently unknown and is currently looking for witnesses.
The Graz 1 traffic inspection, the responsible accident squad, has launched a search for the driver. The police are appealing for information about the incident in order to locate the fleeing driver.
