Greco Bancassurance in Styria: Martin Lang takes over the management!

Graz, Österreich - On April 1, 2025, Greco Bancassurance made a realignment in Styria. Martin Lang becomes the new regional manager for the Bancassurance division in the region and thus takes on Robert Pitschko's responsibility, who has been the position of Head of Bancassurance Austria since the beginning of the year. Pitschko has been a regional manager in Styria since 2019 and will steer the fortunes at the national level.

Lang will start its new function at the beginning of the second quarter of 2025 and will lead the office in Graz with a team of 16 employees: lead inside. Lang has been active in the insurance industry since 2007 and acquired the conclusion of the academic insurance clerk in 2011. Before his new role, he worked at Grawe, where he held different positions, including the sales organizer and area manager in Graz.

Robert Pitschko is positive about the change and emphasizes Langs extensive experience and his strong network in Styria. The Styrian branch of Greco Bancassurance currently looks after around 300 clients, including large industrial companies and public bodies. This expertise and networking will be of central importance for the further development of the establishment.

The realignment is no coincidence. Greco Bancassurance recently expanded its services significantly by fusion with VMG Versicherungsmakler GmbH in 2024. The company is thus positioning itself as an important actor in the field of risk and insurance management in Austria and beyond. Greco, an owner -managed company, now has 69 branches and employs around 1,300 people: inside in 21 countries, of which over 400 are active in Austria.

In the context of the Austrian insurance landscape, the sector shows stable growth. According to current statistics, the gross value added of the financial and insurance services in Austria in 2020 was around 14.36 billion euros, which makes up around 4 percent of total gross value added. The insurance penetration was 4.5 percent, while the insurance density was 2,002 euros per inhabitant.

The insurance industry comprises 44 companies and employs around 27,000 people. In 2019, the branch of the industry was 20.17 billion euros, the premium volumes reached 18.04 billion euros. With 29.9 percent, life insurance companies make up the largest share of the premium volume. On the market, the ten largest insurance companies, which together covered bonuses of 23.5 billion euros in 2019, are dominated by Vienna Insurance Group with 9.32 billion euros.

The takeover of Martin Lang as a regional manager could not only be pioneering for Greco Bancassurance, but also for the entire sector in Styria, while the company is further strengthening its position in a flourishing market.
