Kapfenberg, Österreich - The preparations for the municipal council elections in Styria on March 23, 2025 are in full swing. The polling stations in Mooskirchen open at 6:30 a.m., while some will close in Thörl and Wald am Schoberpass at 11:00 a.m. At 2:30 p.m. the election process will be ended in all polling stations. During the elections, various measures are intended to ensure election integrity. Elections are allowed to support voting, but only under certain conditions, and new reasons for postal voting cards also apply. The deadlines for the introduction and conclusion of the election proposals were also brought forward by a few days, which requires a rapid organization. A total of 5,062 municipal council mandates have to be awarded, which makes these elections a significant matter for Styria.
