The Schiklub Lackenhof is about to ski action shortly before an exciting weekend! On Thursday, 13th and Friday, March 14th, two men FIS slaloms will be held on the thistle slope. Despite the warmer temperatures, the route is in perfect condition, thanks to a fixed snow pad for all four planned races. Patrick Lumplecker, an experienced coach from Lower Austria, emphasizes: "The progress in snow ratio is impressive." The upcoming slalom races can look back on a successful story. At the beginning of the week, two FIS giant gate runs took place on the same route. The athletes came from different countries, including Sweden, Latvia and the USA to face the competition. In the last weeks of the event, the edition originally planned for Monday and Tuesday was shortened to one day, which meant that the participants had to master four passages. 59 runners started per race, and the demanding slalom routes with 59 to 66 goals were never kept simple. This weekend is now becoming the hotspot of the alpine scene when ski fans come together from near and far in Lackenhof to admire the drivers' arts on the thistle slope!
