Halleiner Judokas shine at state championships with 19 medals
The Judounion Hallein-Golling and the Judoclub Hallein-Tenengau achieved remarkable success at the Judo state championships, which took place in the Gerhard-Dorfinger-Halle in Straßwalchen in mid-November. Judo athletes from different age groups, from U10 to the general class, competed against each other in an exciting competition and showed their skills on the mat.
A total of 27 judokas of the Judounion Hallein-Golling took part in the competitions. This strong team can look back on an impressive balance: 19 podium places could be acquired. Particularly noteworthy is the second place in the club ranking for the age groups U10 to U16, which underlines successful club work.
outstanding achievements of the judokas
Among the many talents that went on the mat, some judokas stood out. In the U10 fights, Arden Kuru secured the title of the national champion in the weight class up to 46 kg and Elise Wieser up to 25 kg. Almin Mahmuljin (U12-30 kg) and Marie Schieferer (U12 -36 kg) also drawn attention to themselves by also getting the national championship title. Valentina Tillian shone by triumphing in two age groups (U12 +52 kg and U14 +57 kg). This shows not only the versatility, but also the high performance of the young judokas.
The silver medal won Richard Buchner (U10 -38 kg), Emilia Sampl (U10 -25 kg), Marlena Lechner (U12 +52 kg), Lena Bernhofer, Peter Harlander and Leopold Lechner in their respective age and weight classes. Helena Wieser (U14 -32 kg) was also able to secure second place, which makes the width of talents in Judounion clear.
In addition, some young athletes in their class also showed that they can keep the connection to the top. Alexander Raffler (U10 -27 kg), Anna Schreder (U10 -32 kg), Rafael Klabacher (U12 +55 kg), Anesa Mahmuljin (U12 +52 kg) and Lea Menneweger (U14 -57 kg) each won a bronze medal. These large number of medals not only show the success, but also the future prospects of the judokas from Hallein.
powerful judo club Hallein/Tennengau
The Judoclub Hallein/Tennengau was also strongly represented and was able to take part in the championships with 14 children. The performance of Franziska Leis is particularly remarkable, which in the U12 (up to 32 kg) all fights with an Ippon, the highest rating in judo, won. She is now officially national champion and proves how strongly the Judo youth work is promoted locally.
also Charly Baumgartner and Frederik Grasedieck shone in their competitions. Both reached the final in their categories and secured the Vizelandes championship title. Julian Egger (U10 to 30 kg) and Timo Hillinger (U12 to 42 kg) complement the team with their bronze medals and show that the judo club Hallein/Tennengau relies on good youth work.
These successes are not only of great importance for judoka, but they also reflect on continuous training and promotion in judo in Tennengau. The commitment of the clubs and coaches pays off and gives the athletes the opportunity to lift themselves to another level, such as www.sn.at discussed.
