130 chicks and good cuisine: A day at the Gasthaus Reihofer in Wels
Wels. During a visit to Michael Eschlböck-Bauer, even the former governor Josef Pühringer was amazed at the extraordinary number of 130 boys' guest who saw the light of day this summer. This impressive number is significantly higher than the average slip rate, which is usually around 40 chicks.
The breeder and restaurateur, only 29 years old, leads the fourth generation inn. While he takes care of the African blue neck bustle, he is also responsible for the interests of his restaurant. "The warm temperatures this summer certainly contributed to the chick," he suspects. The chicks slipped from the approximately 1.5 kilogram eggs in a busy summer season, which presented the breeder with interesting challenges.
diverse tasks and responsibility
On the property around the inn, which extends over around 40,000 square meters, the ostriches have enough space and grow. Eschlböck-Bauer lovingly takes care of the birds and has organized his daily routine so that he can provide both the animals and the guests of the inn. The linking of gastronomy and animal husbandry is particularly exciting and varied.
A visit to the Reihofer inn would not only be worthwhile because of the bush bustle. In addition to the animal attractions, it is above all the warm hospitality and the excellent cuisine that attracts many guests. With his commitment, Eschlböck-Bauer has created a special atmosphere that attracts families and friends alike.
The extraordinary circumstances that have caused such a large number of chicks this summer are upset. Especially at the breeders on site, the importance of weather influences on chicken food will be discussed. Adapted to the warm temperatures, many factors seem to play that contributed to the growth and vitality of the youngsters. It remains to be seen which trends will show up in the coming years.
