Diverse events: A look at November 8th in our region

An eventful weekend awaits the Zwettl district, which offers numerous events and activities from November 8th to 10th. There's plenty to experience, from cultural highlights to informative lectures and social gatherings suitable for all ages. Let's take a look at the most important events.

On Friday, November 8th, the completely renovated and expanded state kindergarten in Allentsteig will open its doors. The grand opening begins at 2 p.m. This is an important step to promote early childhood education in the region and to offer the young residents a modern environment.

Variety of offers

In Arbesbach there will be a regional market with a flea market in the former Klinger inn from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Local products can be purchased here and old treasures can be discovered. Another highlight for dance enthusiasts is the dance meeting point in Bad Traunstein. From 7 p.m. there will be an information evening with taster courses led by dance leader Monika Müllner. This is a weekly offer and you can still join on November 15th.

A specialist day on forests and wood is offered in Edelhof for nature-loving citizens. This event starts at 9 a.m. in the technical school and offers interesting insights into the use and care of our forests. Registration is required and can be done using the contact information provided. In Großweißenbach, the Red Cross is offering a blood donation campaign in the Gasthaus Pöll from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to support the regional blood supply.

In Gutenbrunn there will be a games evening for all age groups in the Café Hofer from 4 p.m. This social event invites families and friends to spend time together and discover new games. Another informative lecture deals with the topic of essential oils as a kind of 'medicine cabinet for the whole family', which will take place at 6 p.m. in the Dorfwirtshaus in Sallingstadt.

Cultural and health offers

In Schönbach there will be a discussion evening on dental health, at which expert Gertrude Weissinger will speak at 7 p.m. in the Lindenstüberl inn. An important topic that is often neglected but is crucial to overall health. In the Swidger inn in Schweiggers, the ÖAAB Schweiggers prize schnapps will be held from 6 p.m., a friendly card game that has many regional fans.

An open day for vocational schools is also being organized in Zwettl, which takes place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and there is an open day for gymnasiums for elementary and middle school students from 7:45 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. These events are a good opportunity for students and parents to get to know the educational offerings better.

An important topic for parents is also covered: A lecture on first aid for baby and child emergencies will take place at 7 p.m. in the city office. Admission to this event is free, but donations will be collected for the 'Hands up for Down' initiative. At 7.30 p.m. it continues in the town hall with the 4th Zwettler living room, where presenter Tom Weiss will entertain the guests.
