volunteer engagement in Lembach
An outstanding example of volunteering is the team of the district old-fashioned and nursing home Lembach. Around 100 committed volunteers contribute to enabling residents to live a fulfilling life. The numerous activities they organize range from sociable events to excursions to individual help, which give the senior citizens a feeling of appreciation. Talks and emotional support in difficult times are central elements of their important work.
Responsibility for the coordinated commitment is a volunteer coordinator Eva Leitner and her team. They ensure that the volunteers can contribute their skills and interests in a sensible way - be it in the role as a godfather or in the direction of larger events. Their commitment has strongly shaped personal interaction in everyday life, which is a source of consolation and joy for many.
