A garden for everyone: Students Plants Generationsgarten in Ulrichsberg

Ulrichsberg. A new project in Ulrichsberg looks forward to the future: The generation garden, whose foundation has now been laid by the middle school students, will be a place for all generations. This is not only a big step for the district old-fashioned and nursing home, but also for the community.

This special garden will be created on an unused meadow right next to the nursing home in the next two years. The garden is not only used by the residents of the facility, but also by the children of the local Red Cross local and families who live in assistant living. The idea for the generation garden comes from the "Healthy Community" initiative, led by chairman Dr. Andreas Gabriel, who also heads the newly founded association "Generationsgarten Baph Ulrichsberg". Another exciting aspect of the project could be the later establishment of a martin or a small chapel that would give the garden a special note.

This sustainable project also receives support from the Social Welfare Association Rohrbach, whose chairman, district captain Valentin Pühringer, praises the participation of the students and describes as a first step for a long -term effective project. Mayor Wilfried Kellermann also thanked everyone involved for their support, and hopes for a strong sense of community among the different generations through the commitment.

The funds for implementation are applied by membership fees from the association as well as donations and revenues from events. With a solid financial foundation and the commitment of the students, the generation garden in Ulrichsberg will surely become a lively place of intergenerational encounter.
