The 17th WeFair started on October 4th at the Design Center Linz. Visitors can explore sustainable alternatives in fashion, lifestyle and nutrition, with a focus on travel and hemp, until October 6th.
WeFair 2024: Discover sustainable travel and living in Linz!
The 17th edition of WeFair opened its doors today, October 4th, at 2 p.m. in the Design Center Linz. The trade fair attracts numerous visitors interested in sustainable products in the areas of fashion, lifestyle and nutrition until Sunday, October 6th. This year the focus is particularly on the topic of travel and how to discover the world respectfully.
The various stands present options for sustainable travel, including hiking tours and offers from local tourism regions. Exciting lectures await guests on the trade fair stage, including from Linz author Dominika Meindl, who will read from her book about overtourism in Hallstatt. These targeted food for thought are intended to encourage more conscious travel.
Main focus of the WeFair
Another central theme is hemp, which is presented as an environmentally friendly resource. Post AG also uses the platform to present its reusable parcel packaging “Post Loop”. It will also be exciting on Saturday, when the Civil Protection Association will explain during a test alarm how one can sustainably prepare for crisis situations.
Visitors can also look forward to many fixed program items, including a Volkshilfe repair café, a raffle and various lectures on the trade fair stage. The WeFair is also considered a “greenwashing-free zone”. This means that all exhibitors have been previously checked for sustainability to ensure that they truly meet ecological standards. Wolfgang Pfoser-Almer, Managing Director of WeFair, emphasizes that 10 to 15 exhibitors were rejected this year due to a lack of sustainability in order to offer guests a trusting environment.

The WeFair can be visited at the following times:
- Freitag, 4. Oktober von 14 bis 19 Uhr
- Samstag, 5. Oktober von 11 bis 18 Uhr
- Sonntag, 6. Oktober von 11 bis 17 Uhr
Tickets are available both on site and online www.wefair.at available. In the coming days, the trade fair will continue to offer many interesting ideas for a more sustainable lifestyle.
