Renovation process for Medo Bakery: Hopes for a new beginning in Ansfelden

In Ansfelden, Medo Bakery GmbH applied to the Linz regional court on November 14th for restructuring proceedings, which are to be carried out without self-administration. This company, which was only founded in 2022, is facing financial challenges due to high investments and initially low revenues. The managing directors, Veniza Suke and Drin Ajrizi, stated that the corona-related starting difficulties led to the current situation.

However, the management team is determined to maintain the bakery. They presented a restructuring plan for around 50 creditors. This plan calls for the bakery to pay off a portion of its debt, 20 percent, in four annual installments of five percent over two years. Petra Wögerbauer, the responsible manager of KSV1870 in Linz, explained that the bakery should generate this quota by continuing business operations: "According to the information in the insolvency application, the 20 percent quota should be generated from continuation."

Planned measures for improvement

The forecasts presented show that a strategic expansion of the bakery's operations could help regain profitability. In order to attract new customers, the company is planning to open a guest garden. In addition, price adjustments should be made that can boost sales in the medium to long term in order to give the company the necessary stability.

The credit protection association KSV1870 has already started accepting creditor claims and will thoroughly examine the company data in the coming weeks. Creditors have the option of contacting us by emailinsolvenz.linz@ksv.atto report. The future of the bakery now depends on the approval of the creditors and the feasibility of the proposed measures. The outcome of the restructuring process therefore remains exciting.
