Alexandra, seven years old and a student in the second grade at the Nussdorf am Attersee elementary school, and Jonathan, eleven years old and a student in the first grade at the Bundesrealgymnasium in Vöcklabruck, were thrilled. They had the opportunity to take home a gingerbread heart purchased by their mother Christa. Such small, happy moments underline the importance of community events that not only strengthen social cohesion but also involve children in the activities.
