The turbulent financial situation in the municipality of Kirchdorf continues to ensure conversation among the citizens. In a recently held meeting of the municipal council, the supplementary budget for 2024 was presented, a measure that has become necessary due to incorrect bookings and payments. Greißl explained that at that time it was forced to take over the figures in 2022 and to increase an inflation compensation of ten percent. "That was the only way to stay on the ball," he added.

In the new supplementary budget, an administrative budget of around 3.9 million euros is now provided, while the asset budget is around 3.7 million euros. What is striking is the significant increase in the administrative community surcharge, which increases by around 220,000 euros, from around 321,000 euros to around 542,000 euros. In addition, 146,800 euros must be planned for the deficit compensation of the kindergarten.

The municipal council adopted the supplementary budget with a majority of 7 to 3 votes. Some members of the committee expressed their concern about the need for a supplementary budget, in particular, since serious mistakes in the administration were identified as the main cause.
