SC Zwettl celebrates a convincing 3-1 away win against Langenrohr

An exciting football game took place on Thursday evening between SV Langenrohr and SC Zwettl, and the spectators were able to look forward to a thrilling match. Langenrohr came into the game after suffering a bitter 4-1 defeat against Korneuburg last week. The pressure on the home team was high after they lost to Retz in their last home game. SC Zwettl, on the other hand, had been without a win in four games and were looking for a much-needed win after their last win against Ardagger.

Around 190 fans came to support their team. They had high hopes of a home win, which hadn't happened since the beginning of September. But then came the 26th minute, when a promising attack from the guests changed the dynamics of the game. Marek Szotkowski grabbed the ball, cleverly went around the defense and buried the ball in the far corner. A beautiful goal that revived the spirits of the Zwettler fans, while the home team had to overcome the initial shock without being exposed to further goals.

The decisive lead and nice hits

The second half started in high spirits for Langenrohr as they were only down by one goal. But coach Christoph Pomassl's team was determined not to let this game slip. Another counterattack made the game more difficult for the hosts when David Aigner pushed the ball into the corner again. Immediately afterwards, Nico Dornhackl followed up and made it 3-0 after he went around the opposing goalkeeper and pushed it safely into the net. An outstanding goal that brought the preliminary decision.

Although Langenrohr scored the goal in the final phase, it was merely a cosmetic result. Zwettl celebrated an important away win that got the team back on the road to success. After the final whistle, the players were visibly relieved and began their journey home with renewed self-confidence.

Voices from the game

The joy of the victory was clearly noticeable for Martin Grünstäudl, the chairman of SC Zwettl. He emphasized: "Due to the personnel situation, we started today with a very young team. That's why our success is even more important. We were never clearly inferior in the last few games either. We have finally rewarded ourselves for the effort." In terms of sport, the game is also a confirmation for the young team, which has finally rewarded itself.

The match was an important step for SC Zwettl in the current season and could give them the necessary self-confidence for the next challenges. In return, Langenrohr faces the challenge of rehabilitating himself on the next match day and getting back on the road to success.
