Diversity of art: Annual exhibition opened in the city museum

This year's annual exhibition of the St. Pöltner artist's association awaits visitors with a fascinating variety of works of art that were created by 19 members and three guests. Guided by Flora Szurcsik-Nimmer, the artists show their latest work in the city museum, which include an exciting mixture of techniques and materials. The exhibition is open from October 11 to November 14, 2023, see from Wednesday to Sunday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

curator Ernest A. Kienzl emphasizes the personal note of the exhibited works. "The vernissage shows the diversity of the artists' personalities," he notes. Each of these personalities brings their own topics and approaches to the exhibition. The artists are expressing themselves through various media, including acrylic pictures, temperamalerei, drawings and installations. The topics range from historical questions to personal experiences.

The city museum turns into a place of creative development, since the works attract art lovers with a variety of materials and techniques. "The effect of color, material and texture is clearly visible here," says Kienzl. The work that deals with current topics such as democracy and local challenges such as floods are particularly impressive

A highlight of the exhibition is the Adolf Peschek Prize, which is awarded to the most exciting overall presentation. An external jury consisting of personalities of the art scene under the chair of museum director Thomas Pulle will make this selection. At the same time, visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to take part in the awarding of the Peschek audience award. "The finissage also has the chance to win some original graphics," explains Kienzl.

The event offers art -loving people a platform to not only look at the works, but also actively take part in the award ceremony.
