Stefanie Habeler triumphed at the PiestingTallauf 2024

On Sunday, the picturesque Piestingtal turned into a lively running route again. Almost 1,200 sports enthusiasts came to the various disciplines to test their perseverance and speed. The event was very popular and the NÖN was on site to capture the impressive moments.

The highlight of the day was the half marathon, in which over 300 runners from Gutenstein to Wipfing started. Lars Demuth, an athlete of the SVG Hohe Wand, secured victory in a time of 1:11:07 hours. He had a lead of a little more than one and a half minutes on Matthias Maldet from Askö Breitenau, who reached the finish in 1:12:29. Third place went to Leo Zöchbauer by Running Puchberg with a time of 1:15:55.

Stefanie Habeler triumphed among women, who completed the half marathon by impressive 1:24:31 hours. Erika Haider and Lenka Slizkova followed her in places second and three with times of 1:29:45 and 1:32:09. Other exciting competitions also meant that Kevin Wallner from Union St. Pölten took first place over ten kilometers in 32:28 minutes. Lisa Hütthaler, ex-professional triathlete from HSV Jugend & Multisport, ran the fastest time for women with 36:25 minutes, but would have been among the best five for men.

In the area of the five kilometers, Hunor Kis-Soos and Sophia Kuhn won with times of 17:11 and 19:08 minutes. In addition, around 300 young runners took part in shorter distances of 500 and 1,000 meters. The first places went to Lukas Bittner and Anna Graf (born 2019-2022), Paul Siebert and Marlene Seywald (born 2017-18), as well as Iason Beigl and Magdalena Grünwald (2015-16).
