Mysterious accident: Missing driver escapes after Crash in Kremsmünster

A spectacular accident occurred on January 10, 2025 in Kremsmünster when a 29-year-old man came off the road with his company van. At 10:15 p.m., for previously unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle on the L1334 towards Wartberg on the Krems. The car crashed into a guiding rail with full force, which looked like a "ski jump" and literally hurled the vehicle into the air. The van finally ended up in an adjacent forest on the passenger side and came to a standstill there, as reported 5min.at.

The driver, who fortunately was able to free himself from the vehicle, fled on foot from the scene of the accident before the rescue workers arrived. Despite a large -scale search, in which ten police officers, 49 firefighters and the rescue were deployed, the man initially disappeared. Only later he could be reached by phone and assured that he was doing well, but gave no indication of his whereabouts or his reasons for the escape, whereupon an advertisement against him was filed. According to ORF.at, the driver recovers, but remains uncertain, which is why this dramatic incident occurred.
