Blue Monday in Krems: FPÖ sets clear signals for security and culture!

On August 26, 2025, the traditional “Blue Monday” took place at the Wachau Folk Festival in Krems, where over 1,000 visitors came together in a festive atmosphere. The festival tent was well filled, and numerous FPÖ supporters also gathered outside the tent. The event included a patriotic flag parade, a beer tent atmosphere with local beer, traditional food and live music. State Councilor Susanne Rosenkranz opened the event and welcomed prominent guests, including FPNÖ club chairman Reinhard Teufel and NR President Walter Rosenkranz.

In their speeches, the FPÖ representatives emphasized the party's successes in Lower Austria. Walter Rosenkranz criticized the SPÖ, while MP Harald Vilimsky highlighted the strength of the FPÖ. He sharply criticizes EU politics and expressed negative views on social developments, particularly with regard to drag queens in schools. Vilimsky also called for the expulsion of criminals and addressed the rising cost of living.

Political demands and criticism

Udo Landbauer, the state party chairman, received great applause for his demands on government policy. He criticized the unity party and support for Ukraine. Landbauer advocated a fundamental reorganization of asylum policy and emphasized the need for security for women and children. In this context, he spoke out in favor of linking social benefits to citizenship. He highlighted that Lower Austria has the strictest rules for asylum seekers and that the number of asylum seekers in the state has declined.

These topics will also be discussed in the upcoming state parliament session, in which the FPÖ will present the topic “Stop EU madness – Fortress Europe as a guarantee for security and prosperity in Lower Austria”. Club chairman Reinhard Teufel is calling for stricter measures to limit immigration. He criticizes the current EU asylum policy, which, in his opinion, is being misused for illegal mass immigration, which endangers prosperity, Western culture and social peace. The increasing number of asylum seekers would at the same time endanger the security and prosperity of citizens.

Social and health aspects

Teufel also draws attention to the social injustices that long-term working Austrians face in old age, who often live on the poverty line and are underserved medically. He also warns of the effects of migration policy, such as overcrowded hospitals, long waiting times for doctors, rising rents, overcrowded schools and an increase in crime. He also criticizes the treatment of migrants in the health system and calls for an immediate stop to asylum and the repatriation of illegal economic refugees.

Teufel also speaks out against the EU migration pact and the forced distribution mechanism and emphasizes the need for complete and efficient EU external border protection. Control instead of chaos is needed to end the flow of illegal migration.

The demands of the FPÖ, which have become a central topic of the current political discussion in Lower Austria, will continue to set the agenda in domestic politics. The event in Krems impressively underlined this.
