Women's power in Lower Austria: Entrepreneurial forum strengthens networks and innovation

The entrepreneur's forum of "Ms. In Business" Lower Austria recently took place at Perchtoldsdorf Castle and attracted around 300 independent women from all over Lower Austria. This annual event has established itself as a central meeting point for entrepreneurs over the years. In her opening speech, the state chairman Vera Sares emphasized how impressive the efforts are that every entrepreneur does every day for her business and often also for the family.

SARES also took the opportunity to announce her new role as chairwoman of the association "Business Aid for the Economy". It underlined the importance of this support, especially for one-person entrepreneurs who could be dependent on help in emergencies such as illness or maternity protection.

inspiring speakers and valuable networks

A highlight of the forum was the keynote by Martina Gleissebner-Teskey, a participant of "Germany’s Next Top Model". It encouraged those present to question conventional role models and to shape their own life according to individual wishes. Her message was: "Every woman should make her life that really corresponds to her personally."

At the same time, Maximilian Böger, a specialist in digitization, brought the entrepreneurs closer to how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used in their companies. His statements reflected the urgency not to see new technologies as a threat, but as an opportunity. "AI comes anyway, we use tools like chat GPT for our business advantage in the company," he said.

WKW President Wolfgang Ecker and Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner both expressed a high level of respect for the achievements of the entrepreneurs. Mikl-Leitner emphasized that independence requires courage and trust and that "woman in the economy" is a valuable network to learn from each other.

Martha Schultz, Vice President of the WKÖ and Federal Chairman of "Frau in the Business", described achievements such as the equation of the pensions and the parenting money as significant progress that were achieved by the network. "Such a unique network for women in Europe is only available in Austria," she emphasized.

Overall, the forum illuminates the challenges and successes with which women are confronted in the economy and offers a platform to exchange experiences and develop new perspectives.
