Boys Day 2024: Young men discover nursing professions in LK Horn

The Boys Day 2024 recently took place in the State Clinic Horn, which was organized especially for boys. The aim of this day of action is to bring young men closer to the diverse career opportunities in the nursing sector, especially in view of the traditional gender roles that are often associated with these professions. This day enables the participants to discover the different facets of the medical-social professions that can be a valuable career option.

On November 6, the students of the new Ziersdorf middle school received exciting insights into the State Clinic Horn under the guidance of the teacher Sonja Krottendorfer. During their visit, the young people not only learned more about the facility itself, but also about the 71 different professions that are offered there. The focus was particularly on the nursing professions, which were presented to visitors in a vivid way.

A highlight of the day was the practical visit to the plaster room, where the students had the opportunity to create a plaster association themselves. This practical experience caused a lot of enthusiasm and interest in the professions in healthcare. With such an initiative, the State Clinic Horn wants to make more young men consider in care.

The Boys Day 2024 is more than just an information offer; It should also help the young men to reduce stereotypes and show them that a job in nursing can be both fulfilling and exciting. It remains to be seen how many of the participants will ultimately take the step into this important professional branch, but the positive impressions of the day could be decisive.
