Celebrate, tattoo and quince: A colorful weekend in the Ostalbkreis
In the Ostalbkreis, people can expect a varied and exciting program on the upcoming weekend. Friday starts with a popular event: from 8 p.m. the 33rd edition of "Music in Gmünder Kneipen" will take place. This event has now become an integral part of culture and not only attracts locals, but also visitors from the surrounding communities. Although the number of participating pubs has been reduced, a wide variety of regional bands and DJs will occur in 23 local regional bands. For a complete overview of the program, you can look up at www.migk.de or drop by at the I-Punkt in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
If you don't want to go home after the pub evening, you have the opportunity to visit the "Music in Gmünder Kneipen Aftershow Party" in southern light. This starts at 11 p.m. and only ends at sunrise, i.e. at 5 a.m. Here DJ RMJS & Friends creates the mood. In contrast to the pub event, there is an admission price - tickets are available in advance for 8 euros and costs 10 euros at the box office. Further information is available on social media at @suedlicht_gd.
jewelry on Saturday
On Saturday, the weekend will continue to be colorful and entertaining: from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., the Tattoo Mass will take place in the Congress Center Stadtgarten, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. Over 50 tattoo artists will be on site, and both trade visitors and interested parties who want to be tattooed or pierced will be welcome. The fair offers a perfect opportunity to learn more about tattooing and use services directly on site without having an appointment beforehand.
quince Sunday and pumpkin carving
Sunday rounds off the weekend with several events. Both the tattoo fair and the jewelry fair are open again: the Tattoo Convention runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., while the fair is open to jewelry and device from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Another highlight of Sunday is the quince Sunday in the scattering center in the Wetzgau landscape park. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary since the State Garden Show 2014, everything is about quince. Visitors can try various delicacies such as quince cakes and quinces, while Susanne Mezger will give a lecture on the "quince-the unruly beautiful" at 2:30 p.m. Entry is also free on quince Sunday, which makes this event extremely attractive. The German Weather Service has predicted a pleasant mix of sun and clouds for Saturday, which should only come into play after the early fog. In the afternoon, people can look forward to dry conditions and pleasant temperatures between 12 and 16 degrees. Even on Sunday it stays dry, so nothing speaks against a visit to the events.
