Music legends conquer Schladming: A weekend full of highlights!

The Schladming-Dachstein tourism region celebrated a spectacular ski opening with “The Grand Festival 2024” on the first weekend in December 2024. With international music greats such as Bryan Adams, Sting and Simply Red, around 10,000 enthusiastic fans experienced an unforgettable weekend full of music in the Planai Stadium. Bryan Adams opened the dance on Friday, December 6th and got the audience singing along with his hits like “Summer of 69” and “Everything I Do (I Do It For You).” Numerous prominent guests, including Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner and ÖFB team boss Ralf Rangnick, were also there to enjoy the event leadersnet.at reported.

Saturday was all about British superstar Sting, who took the stage with his performance and delighted his fans with classics like “Message in a Bottle” and “Roxanne”. A total of around 9,500 visitors came to his concert, which is part of his worldwide tour “Sting 3.0”. On Sunday, December 8th, the band Simply Red rounded off the event before celebrating their 40th anniversary with a big tour next year. In addition to the impressive concerts, a Ski Opening Advent market also took place in Schladming. Over the weekend, visitors could expect a varied program with DJs, live bands and the Coca-Cola Christmas tree truck. This festive market in the center of the city created an unforgettable atmosphere and perfectly complemented the top-class music program.
