Serious traffic accident in St. Veit: Two injuries to Frontalcrash

A serious traffic accident occurred on November 22, 2024 at 3:23 p.m. in the St. Veit on the Glan. Two people have been seriously injured and the police have now published more details.

An 18-year-old man from the municipality of Eberstein was traveling on Seeberg Straße B82 in the direction of Launsdorf. For the reason that has so far been unexplained, his car got on the opposite lane and collided head-on with a car that was directed by a 67-year-old woman from the Brückl market town. The impact was violent enough to spin the unsuitable driver out of the vehicle, where he then remained seriously injured on the road. After a first medical care, he was brought to the Klagenfurt Clinic.

The 67-year-old driver also suffered serious injuries and was trapped in her vehicle. The fire brigade had to free them from the wreck with a berner. It was then flown to the Klagenfurt Clinic with the C11 rescue helicopter. Total damage occurred on both vehicles in the accident.

The accident site had to be closed to all traffic until 6:33 p.m. in order to carry out the accident recording and the rescue and rescue measures. Such incidents raise many questions and warn for caution in road traffic.
