Great enthusiasm at the fishing competition on Lake Millstätter See
The traditional DAIWA fishing for the crystal whitefish, which took place on Lake Millstätter See last September, was also very popular in its 29th year. Over 200 participants came together to demonstrate their fishing skills in various categories. New this year was the group competition for whitefish and a combination competition for predatory fish and whitefish, which particularly motivated the younger anglers and made the competition more exciting.
The award ceremony took place in the Kulturhaus Seeboden, where the best participants were awarded prizes worth a total of 20,000 euros. This not only included honoring the best anglers, but also a large raffle of high-quality DAIWA products. Sabine Egger, the organizer of the event, expressed her thanks to all helpers and sponsors whose support contributed to the smooth running of the event.
Looking forward to the anniversary
The main sponsor DAIWA was particularly impressed by the event. Christian Pototschnig, the company representative, announced a special prize for the coming anniversary year, which further increased the anticipation of the 30th DAIWA fishing for the crystal whitefish. It remains to be seen what the organizers will have in store for the next celebration.
The event has become a significant highlight in the region's calendar of events over the years, attracting not only local anglers but also participants from various parts of the country. Future anglers and those interested also have the opportunity to find out more about the event and the interesting competitions by finding out more about other media or watching the short image film about the Renke 2024.
Overall, the event proved to be another highlight of local traditions and highlighted the community spirit among participants and spectators, which is important for the region.
