Hunter Hubert Tripolt noted that eight deer were recorded as fallen game on the state road at Klippitzthörl last year alone.

Gerald Muralt, a wildlife biologist, explains that the placement of these devices is not haphazard. There are clear criteria based on known wildlife corridors, i.e. the routes that wild animals usually use. This means that dangerous areas in particular can be specifically accessed.

The Road Safety Board reports that the likelihood of encountering a wild animal is increased, especially at night and at dusk. Motorists are advised to take particular caution when driving during these times. The recommendation is to keep a sufficient distance, turn away and, if necessary, brake sharply, but without losing control.
