Christmas magic in Spittal: Advent market opens on November 28th!
The pre -Christmas period has reached the Upper Carinthian region, and with it the magical shine of the Advent markets. The first snow created a contemplative atmosphere, while numerous markets in the area invite you to linger and enjoy. The variety ranges from manual products to delicious dishes that warm the heart.
In Spittal, the festive magic is heralded on November 28th when the Christmas village is opened in the Schlosspark. At 5 p.m. Mayor Gerhard Köfer will accompany the opening with background music. Visitors can look forward to regional delicacies such as Frigga and Apfelradl’n, there are daily events such as Kasperltheater and a Krampus run that contribute to the festive atmosphere.
The Advent shuttle for smooth market visit
A new Advent shuttle, organized by the Millstätter See - Bad Kleinkirchheim - Nockberge Tourismanagement GmbH, enables guests to easily visit the different advent markets. On the four Advent weekends, the shuttle bus swings every hour between the markets - from Spittal to Radenthein. Tickets are available in the local tourist offices and online, which makes it easier to visit the festive events. Further information can be found on the website www.seeundberg.at .
In addition, Bad Kleinkirchheim will be transformed into a Christmas village from November 30th, where a combination of Christmas market and skiing and thermal enjoyment attracts guests. Not only a large selection of handmade products is waiting here, but also numerous activities for children such as tinkering and putting on children.
The Mallnitz mountain district takes place in the Hohe Tauern National Park region throughout the Advent. On weekends, guests can expect atmospheric light paths, an art exhibition and other attractions in the middle of a picturesque winter landscape.
Advent markets for every taste
The Advent markets in Seeboden and Mühldorf have already opened their goals. On the Advent Freise, the café "Sitzwohl" will offer local specialties in the main square, while atmospheric Advent singing in the Jakobuskirche Seeboden sets highlights of the season.
The visitors to Krems, Irschen and Obervellach are also available to visitors with regional products and handicraft offers. In Radenthein, festive performances and a magic program will be offered on November 29.
