Every 9th woman experiences orgasm while cycling - this is how velogasm works!

A recent study by the dating and sex community JOYclub examined a surprising phenomenon among female cyclists: so-called velogasm. According to the survey, which involved 2,255 women, 11.8% of respondents have experienced an orgasm while cycling. This particular orgasm often occurs unexpectedly, as only 6.6% of women say they often have it while cycling. The majority, 41.6%, experience it occasionally and 51.4% rarely.

What's particularly striking is that the likelihood of having an orgasm while cycling varies depending on the type of bike. 19.8% of female mountain bikers experienced this, while the proportion of female riders of city, trekking, racing or e-bikes is around 10%. Women who drive on gravel roads have 29.5% of the most common orgasmic experiences. These findings demonstrate that the type of cycling has a significant impact on sexual experience during sport.

Excitement in the saddle

Interestingly, 59.3% of women who had an orgasm while cycling reported that fantasies helped them during it. However, women's experiences are very individual: some describe the orgasm as short and violent, while others find it penetrating and long-lasting. Another interesting point is that 43.5% of women who have not experienced a cycling orgasm have never experienced arousal either.

The study also shows that only 6% of respondents often or always experience excitement while cycling. About 50.6% of women report being aroused occasionally or rarely. A small group of 16.9% have actively tried to achieve orgasm while cycling, indicating the growing interest and curiosity around sexual experience while exercising.

The results of this survey shed new light on the connection between sport and sexuality and show that many women experience much more than just physical activity when cycling. JOYclub's research results give rise to an open discussion about the joy and sexual possibilities that can come with cycling.
