The Czech truck driver was caught in his cab and had to be freed from other road users. He received first aid from a German doctor before the emergency doctor arrived. The seriously injured truck driver was admitted to the LKH Graz, while the car driver and a 60-year-old Graz truck driver suffered minor injuries. The lock of the ridge tunnel lasted from 12:23 p.m. to 6:10 p.m. and led to further traffic disruptions on the A9 and the diversion routes S35 and B67.
