On Tuesday, Hans Peter Doskozil, governor of Burgenland, announced that he had undergone surgery on his larynx. Although the routine check-up last week did not require immediate action, his doctor, Prof. Dietz, recommended preventive correction due to increasing ossification. However, Doskozil stressed that it was a routine procedure and that he is expected to be back in office by the end of the week.
The operation took place in a clinic in Vienna, where Doskozil was looked after by a specialized team. The governor's health is paramount and the decision to undergo surgery was made to avoid future complications.
Doskozil is confident that he will recover quickly and be able to resume his official duties soon. The operation was successful and Doskozil thanked the medical team for their professional treatment.
