Philipp Jelinek inspires with new exercise unit in schools!

Philipp Jelinek, known as the nation's leading gymnast, is reporting live today from the Oberschützen sports middle school in Burgenland. Since the launch of his popular exercise unit “Fit with Philipp” three years ago, he has established himself as a central figure in everyday Austrian life. It all started on March 30, 2020, when the ORF launched a new exercise format during the Corona lockdown to help people stay active in difficult times. Now the unit can be viewed daily at 9:05 a.m., as well as during the week at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on krone.tv and in the krone.tv live stream, like that crown reported.

Successful fitness format for everyone

The concept of “Fit with Philipp” is so successful that it was awarded the Romy Award for the best lockdown format in 2021. In 2022, the show achieved impressive viewership numbers: a total of 1.872 million people tuned in, which corresponds to a market share of 31 percent. On April 13, 2021, the show enjoyed its highest market share to date of 41 percent, illustrating the immense popularity of Jelenik's programs, such as ORF reported. Jelinek himself expressed his gratitude because he sees his work as an important contribution to public health. His goal is to significantly increase the healthy years of life of Austrians.

Another important step is the introduction of “Philipp goes to school”, which starts on April 12, 2023. Every Wednesday, Jelinek will present exercises for activation, mobilization and strengthening together with school children. In doing so, he aims to integrate exercise even more closely into the everyday lives of younger generations and thus lay the foundation for a healthy future.
