On Friday, October 11, 2024, 28 firefighters met at the Mattersburg fire station to intensively deal with fighting vegetation fires. The training covered various aspects, including knowledge of different types of fires, their tactics and the optimal water supply when extinguishing them. After the theoretical units, the participants were able to test their newly acquired knowledge directly in practical outdoor exercises. Radio course to improve communication
An additional program focused on radio communications was offered on Saturday, October 12, 2024. 23 firefighters took part in an innovative radio training course. For the first time, this course took place in a new format in which participants had to complete e-learning training beforehand. The practical part was then held in the training room of the fire station, where the participants were able to deepen their knowledge from the online content through targeted radio exercises.
