A2, Österreich - A serious traffic accident on the A2 has now requested a total of five fatalities. As Exxpress.at died, a 58-year-old Ukrainian in the Vienna Clinic Donaustadt died. The incident occurred on April 1 at 6.20 a.m. when a minibus with eight Ukrainian citizens on a truck with Spanish approval.

In the tragic accident, four women aged 53, 54, 61 and 64 were killed. In addition, the 52-year-old chauffeur of the small bus and three other inmates were seriously injured. One of the injured women later died in the clinic, which increases the number of fatalities to five. The drivers of the truck, however, only suffered slight injuries.

Investigations and legal consequences

According to Erich Habitzl, spokesman for the Wiener Neustadt public prosecutor, investigations against the 52-year-old person who caused the accident were initiated. The man is suspected of negligent killing and negligent bodily harm. After the accident, he was arrested and accepted in custody, which is limited until April 17th. The reasons for detention are the risk of escape and darkening.

The injured people were brought to various hospitals in Wiener Neustadt, Vienna and Eisenstadt, with three emergency helicopters being in use to guarantee rapid medical care.
