Celebratory anniversary event of the Burgenland Choir Association in Eisenstadt

Last Saturday, in the heart of Eisenstadt, the Burgenland Choir Association celebrated its 60th anniversary with a festive event in the town hall. This anniversary, which highlighted the long and successful history of the association, attracted numerous guests of honor and officials.

The newly elected president of the choir association, Gerhard Bauer, had the honor of presenting the state youth choir during the celebrations. This choir, led by his wife Linde Devos, ensured a consistently positive atmosphere with an entertaining performance. Around 30 singers, all young people, received a lot of applause from those present, who recognized the talents and passion of the young artists.

Important guests and generous support

The guests of honor included Federal Councilor Günter Kovacs and the mayor of Eisenstadt, Thomas Steiner. Kovacs took the opportunity to announce a generous donation from the country of 5,000 euros. This financial support could make a decisive contribution to ensuring that the Altenmarkt Choir Week, which was once very popular, can possibly take place again in some form next year.

The event was characterized by a warm and celebratory spirit, which was also strengthened by the presence of other guests such as Franz Steindl, Karin Tinhof, Erwin Tinhof and Judith Bruckschwaiger. Everyone involved was pleased with the development of the choir association and the positive influence it has in the region.

President Gerhard Bauer warmly thanked the supporters and emphasized that the state's financial help not only benefits the choir association, but also cultural life in Burgenland as a whole. The celebrations highlight the importance of community and cultural education and give hope that the tradition of choral singing will remain alive in the future.
