This is a significant increase compared to the values of the financial crisis of 2007/2008, which also underlines the worrying situation.

The majority of the bankruptcies are in the real estate sector, which has a total of 5.55 billion euros with a total of 3.83 billion euros. In the ten largest company bankruptcies of the first half of the year, nine comes from the signal universe of the entrepreneur René Benko, which indicates the significant problem in the real estate industry.
