Scandal surrounding Christian Horner: Another court dispute is imminent!
Red Bull team boss Christian Horner faces new challenges on March 5, 2025, as the allegations against him that emerged last year are now set to be heard in court. These serious allegations involve “cross-border conduct” and relate to the alleged sexting messages he allegedly sent to a former female employee. Despite an acquittal by an independent commission, the 51-year-old continues to face lawsuits from these former employees, as the Dutch media “Telegraaf” reports.
Now the plaintiff has decided to take the case to an employment tribunal in England after she was unhappy with the company's internal investigations. The trial is set for 2026 and the coming months are likely to raise tensions within Red Bull as the allegations dominate headlines again. British media are also prohibited from publishing details about the trial due to a so-called “Reporting Restriction Order” requested by Horner, which further inflames the situation. Christian Horner himself has expressed skepticism about the allegations in the past and explained: "It's a good lesson in life that the more success you have, the more you become a target."
Support in stormy times
Despite the negative headlines, there is one constant in Horner's life: his wife Geri Halliwell, former Spice Girls singer, is at his side during this turbulent time. In public, she always appears at his side and exudes sovereignty. The couple, who have been married since 2015, have a daughter and mostly live in England. That family support could be crucial for Horner as he prepares for the upcoming trial that could impact not only his personal reputation but also the future of his team.
