A spectacular traffic accident occurred on October 26th, 2024 at around 11:30 p.m. on the A65 motorway between Neustadt-Süd and Neustadt-Nord! Three people were slightly injured in this shocking incident and had to be taken to local hospitals. The reason? A broken down truck that was supposed to be towed onto the hard shoulder before the disaster turned the seemingly harmless journey into real chaos!
The towing company secured the broken down truck, but the necessary closure of the right lane using blinding Nissen lights led to a fatal mix-up! A VW driver noticed too late that the lane was closed. In a desperate attempt to avoid a collision, he moved into the left lane, but did not see the Mercedes driver who was overtaking. The collision was inevitable!
Shocking moment and high damage!
The balance after the crash: three injured and total damage of a whopping 40,000 euros! The motorway in the direction of Ludwigshafen had to be closed for around 2 hours in order to clarify the circumstances of the accident and recover the vehicles involved in the accident.
