Speyer/Dudenhofen – A dangerous game in the dark! On Sunday evening, deliberately felled trees on State Road 528 and District Road 15 caused a strong alarm. At around 10:25 p.m., a 24-year-old driver ran over one of the torn birch trees that lay across the road. The result? A slightly damaged car and a shock for the young driver!
The second felled birch tree was discovered around 2 a.m. by another road user who came to a stop just in time. They have tragic features in common: the trees seem to have been felled with an ax! The unknown perpetrator is believed to have created a dangerous obstacle - a heinous act that can endanger not only property but also human life.
Police are investigating!
The police have started an investigation and are looking for witnesses who can provide information about this dangerous intervention in road traffic.
