Without a license and drunk: woman crashes into tree in Dormagen!
Dramatic incident in Dormagen!
On Sunday, October 27th, around 12:30 p.m., a 51-year-old woman was traveling on the L35 when she collided with a tree. But that wasn't a normal accident! The driver was driving a vehicle that was anything but roadworthy - the brakes and drive apparently did not function properly. While she lost control while cornering and went off the road, the journey ended abruptly with a crash into the tree.
Alcohol and no driving license!
The police became aware of the striking accident and quickly discovered that the driver may have been drunk. An alcohol test carried out confirmed the suspicion and a blood sample was taken to determine the exact amount of alcohol. But the most shocking thing? The woman didn't have a valid driver's license either! This means she is now facing several criminal proceedings: driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license.
The police warn urgently about the dangers of drunk driving. Even an alcohol concentration of 0.3 per mille can lead to serious consequences, including driving license revocation or even imprisonment. To all passengers: Take responsibility for your life and that of others - never get into a drunk person's car! The effort under the motto #LIFE is intended to help raise awareness of road safety and reduce the number of serious traffic accidents.
