On Friday evening, October 4, 2024, a traffic accident was documented in the parking lot of the Waldfesthalle in Schifferstadt, which ended in a hit-and-run. A 19-year-old driver parked his car briefly between 11:00 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. He had barely left his vehicle and been away for a few minutes when he returned when he noticed fresh knock-on damage to the right side of his car.
It was probably an incident in which another vehicle collided with the young driver's car while pulling out of a parking space. However, the person or persons responsible left the scene of the accident without permission, which made the whole scenario particularly annoying. The material damage caused amounts to around 2,000 euros, which is not only annoying but also financially burdensome for those affected.
