In a wave of car thefts that is shaking the tranquil towns of Hagenburg and Beckedorf, several vehicles have disappeared without a trace! On the night of November 8th to 9th, 2024, two cars were stolen in the town of Hagenburg. These are a BMW 540i, which belonged to a 43-year-old from Hagenburg, and an Audi Q5 belonging to a 58-year-old man, both of which were parked directly from the courtyard entrance or near the house. The thieves struck specifically!
The night before, more precisely on November 8th, Beckedorf also faced a vehicle theft: a Jeep Grand Cherokee, owned by a 36-year-old Beckedorfer, was kidnapped from its driveway on the street on Alten Helweg. In all three cases, the keys to the cars were not in the thieves' possession, and the state-of-the-art vehicles had the Keyless Go system - an indication of a clever plan!
Investigations are ongoing!
It is still unclear whether there is a connection between the thefts and the police have already started an investigation. Officials are asking any witnesses who have made any observations during the night around the crime scenes to come forward immediately. This could be crucial in bringing perpetrators to justice.
