In Lohnsburg, near Hochkuchl, a serious accident involving a tractor occurred on December 22nd, which alerted the emergency services. According to information from meinkreis.at, for reasons that are still unclear, the tractor left the road in a left-hand bend and fell down a steep embankment before overturning. The tractor eventually came to rest on its roof against a tree. There were two people in the vehicle, with a driver trapped in the cab. After being freed, the injured person was immediately handed over to the Red Cross.

HTL Ried has established itself as a leading institution for aspiring technicians over the last 20 years, particularly with its focus on agricultural engineering, which was added seven years ago. Every year around 100 students start their careers in engineering at this school, which is now one of the largest agricultural engineering schools in Austria. Here, students enjoy practical training that offers them direct access to the latest agricultural machinery.

Through collaborations with over 50 agricultural technology companies in Upper Austria, students have the opportunity to work on real machines and gain valuable experience. The Raiffeisenbank Region Ried supports the HTL funding project in order to further improve the education of the students. Board member Joachim Knoglinger emphasizes the importance of sustainable agriculture and modern developments and emphasizes that HTL Ried graduates have excellent job opportunities in agricultural technology. 90 percent of students are already starting their professional lives straight away, which underlines the increasing demand and the importance of this training.
