Ski star Feller is fighting for new luck in Kranjska Gora after disappointment at the World Cup

This weekend, the ski world will be all about the return of Manuel Feller and Stefan Brennsteiner to the racing in Kranjska Gora. After the World Championships in Saalbach, which were marked by disappointments, both athletes are working on finding new motivation. Manuel Feller, who spoke of “one of the biggest defeats of his career” after his fourth place in the slalom, admits that the first days after the competition were “painful”. He admits: “I’ve also had tougher phases in my career.” Nevertheless, he is planning big and has the goal of winning a race this season, especially in the slalom. According to the “Krone”, Feller has largely recovered from the negative feelings and now wants to concentrate fully on the challenges ahead.

Stefan Brennsteiner, on the other hand, is struggling with the after-effects of his home World Cup, where he was eliminated from the competition after just ten seconds. He describes it with gallows humor: “I was already unplugged after Saalbach.” But despite the severe disappointment, he remains optimistic and is focusing on the coming races. He remembers his previous success in Kranjska Gora, where he already achieved two podium places. “Here comes the next one, another one is waiting in two weeks,” says Brennsteiner hopefully.
