Lucas Fendrich surprises with a German album: A new musical path!

Lucas Fendrich, the talented musician, surprises his fans with a bold step in a new direction: he releases his first German-language album entitled “Fertigfrei”. This news comes after his single “You and Me Against Everyone,” which was released in June 2024. Fendrich explained that he was able to express himself better in English when he started out, but now as an adult artist he is taking on the challenge of focusing on the German language. “The name shouldn’t be on a wall,” says Fendrich Today reported.

A new chapter for the artist

Fendrich's journey into the German music scene is particularly remarkable because it pushes the obsessive comparison to his father, the well-known singer Rainhard Fendrich, into the background. “I’m just up for it,” he adds. After his success on the TV show “Dancing Stars”, he reconsidered his previous career and looked for new musical paths. His plans to start the US tour with the band Hunger were interrupted by the pandemic, but this led to creative innovations. Fendrich began making music with his brother and developed the idea for his debut album Small newspaper.

The album “Prescription Free”, which will be released on March 14, 2025, was developed over a year with a dedicated team of songwriters. Fendrich describes the diversity of the tracks and emphasizes that the record company was initially surprised by the breadth of styles he tried. His next single, “Fear of Fear,” will be released on January 17, 2025 and is described as a very personal song that he has a strong connection to.
