Klagenfurt signs Keanan Bennetts: comeback of a talent!
The Austrian football club Austria Klagenfurt has signed a spectacular new signing for the 2024/25 season and is strengthening itself with Keanan Bennetts. The 25-year-old offensive player, who was most recently under contract with SV Wehen Wiesbaden, is moving to the Carinthians on a free transfer and will start training with the Violets on Tuesday laola1.at reported. Bennetts, who has had a colorful career and also played for the England Under-National team, is seen as a major asset to the team.
The left-footed player, who played for Tottenham Hotspur at youth level, moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2018 for 2.25 million euros. However, his career was marred by several injuries, resulting in him being less in the spotlight in recent years. Now the sports director, Günther Gorenzel, hopes to get him back on the road to success. “We will do everything we can to get the guy back on track and are convinced that his skills will make him very valuable to our team,” continued Gorenzel skaustria Klagenfurt.at reported.
Bennett’s versatility and motivation
Bennetts can be used both offensively and defensively on the left wing and has impressive speed and a feel for the right pass. After a difficult phase in his career, Bennetts is now determined and full of motivation: “I am totally happy that an agreement has been reached with Austria and I am grateful to those responsible for believing in me and trusting me after a difficult phase for me,” he says. With the focus on achieving the team goals, he is now starting his winter preparations under coach Peter Pacult.
