Heartbeat event: lightning information about strokes and heart attacks on October 28th!

The “Heartbeat” information event has established itself as a real highlight because it sheds light on the serious topics of strokes and heart attacks. The event was so well received at the beginning of October that the organizers decided to hold it again. On Monday, October 28th, those interested will have the opportunity to collect comprehensive information on these crucial health topics between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Mia Münster House in St. Wendel (Wilhelmstrasse 11).

The speakers promise exciting insights. Linda Wilhelm from the network “Saarland lives healthy!” As part of her lecture entitled “Underestimated danger: How our lifestyle can make us sick”, she will show how everyday habits can negatively influence the risk of cardiovascular disease. This is particularly relevant considering that many people are often unaware of the potential dangers associated with an unhealthy lifestyle.

Afterwards, Dr. Frederik Schumann, specialist in internal medicine and emergency medicine, will lead the participants through his lecture “Heart attack and stroke from a medical perspective”. Here he will not only discuss the medical facts of these diseases, but also give valuable tips for prevention. This information is particularly valuable because it can help prevent life-threatening situations.

The organizers of this educational event are the health department of the St. Wendel district, the district town of St. Wendel and the network “Saarland lives healthy!”. Admission to this important event is free, which makes participation easier and is intended to appeal to older people in particular.

Anyone who is interested should not hesitate to register. Registrations are possible until Monday, October 28th, 12 p.m. Anyone interested can contact Heike Ahrweiler, the senior representative for the district town of St. Wendel, by phone on (06851) 8091958 or send an email to seniorenopfer@sankt-wendel.de.

The great interest in this repetition of the event shows how important such topics are in people's everyday lives. Prevention rather than cure – that seems to be the motto. In a society where many people suffer from stress and unhealthy lifestyle habits, it is of utmost importance to address these issues and take your health into your own hands. Participating in the event could be the first step in the right direction.
